·   Keep a list of important keywords or the ethical words with you for the last minute peek-a-boo as including these keywords in your answers will fetch you extra marks. Below listed are few key words:

o    Objectivity
o    Dedication to public service
o    Empathy
o    Tolerance
o    Compassion towards weaker-section
· Choose some quotes and apply them wherever necessary.
·  Highlight these keywords by underlining them on your answer sheets. 

Some quick tricks for Answer Writing
Here are a few quick tricks for answer writing in the UPSC Mains exam for Ethics Paper and score high.
The General Studies Paper IV is for 250 marks.
·    First attempt answering Case Study questions and one should ensure to finish all the case study questions within an hour and 30 minutes and not more than that as one has to answer other theoretical questions as well in the stipulated three hours.
·     By answering case study questions first you may score around 15-16 marks out of 20-25 marks compared to answering the theoretical questions for which you may score only 7 marks out of 10 and chances are there this 15/16 marks compared to the 7 marks would give you an extra edge over the other aspirants.
·   Once done answering the Case Study questions, later you can start attempting the theoretical questions for 125 marks.

Tips on how to attempt the Case Study Questions in the GS Ethics Paper IV
Here are some tips on how to attempt Case Study Questions of GS Ethics Paper IV.
·      Read the question thoroughly.
·      After going through the questions; write an outline of the scenario.
·     Mention the four options available (based on the Case Study question)
·     Provide the merits and demerits of the four options you have mentioned.
o    For e.g. if one of the options is Corruption then for merits and demerits you can use the following line.
Under Merits, you can mention I’m against corruption and I will not accept a bribe while under demerits you can mention that you will lose monetary benefits.
·        Finally, analyse the merits and demerits and provide a solution 


These are some last minute tips for GS IV Ethics Paper following which would allow you to attempt all the questions and answer them elaborately within the short frame of time and fetch more marks at the same time.
